Inspiring Everyone to Grow
Leading by example is an essential trait of a good leader. It means guiding others through your behavior instead of your words, inspiring others to copy your behavior, and aligning your habitual practices, routines, and behaviors with your core values. When leaders lead by example, it boosts employee morale, builds trust and respect, fosters a positive work culture, and sets the tone for the rest of the team. Marina Campbell, Director of Sales and Marketing of MyMycoLab, is one such leader.
Marina believes leading by example fosters a collaborative environment. When leaders demonstrate a willingness to work hard, listen to others, and value their contributions, they create an environment where everyone feels valued and respected. This can lead to increased collaboration and teamwork, as team members are more likely to work together to achieve shared goals. “By being an example to others and following an open-door policy, I have developed a team of leaders in our organization,” says Marina. “I am always willing to learn, listen, and engage in positive discussions regarding any aspects of our organization with all members. This inspires them and allows them to grow and succeed.”
A leader's role is not limited to dictating what needs to be done, and Marina knows that; hence, she follows simple steps of openness, curiosity, and a willingness to learn. She keeps an open mind and is curious about new ideas and perspectives. “Valuing every team member equally is crucial in building a successful team,” explains Marina. “When team members feel their contributions are valued, they are more likely to give their best effort. I listen to every team member and value their input can create a culture of inclusivity and collaboration.”
MyMycoLab is a laboratory specializing in blood serum antibody testing for mycotoxins. The laboratory tests for 12 different mycotoxins for both IgG and IgE antibodies are the most precise and accurate method to determine if a person has been exposed to mycotoxins. Mycotoxins and molds have been called "The Great Masquerader" by the World Health Organization. This is because they imitate many other illnesses and conditions that are difficult to diagnose and treat.
The first step is to see if a patient is suffering from the effects of mycotoxins and molds. Molds are biological, but mycotoxins are toxins and, therefore, more dangerous. This blood serum test is the most precise and accurate test for detecting the body's reaction to mycotoxins, both toxicologically and allergically. With the results of this test panel, a healthcare professional can take the next step and start treatment. Each test result contains a full explanation of the mycotoxins, what the results mean, and the recommended treatments, with over 110 references as a guide. With the 24 results of this test panel, 12 IgG and 12 IgE mycotoxin antibodies, a healthcare professional can take the next step and start treatment. Many published studies show that molds and mycotoxins are significant players in cancer, neurological and brain disorders, autoimmune diseases, and long-term COVID-19. “We are an inspiration for many women clinicians here in the U.S. and in other countries who learn and understand how to test and treat their patients for chronic illnesses,” says Marina.
The mission of MyMycoLab is simple: to help all those suffering from the effects of molds and mycotoxins worldwide based on medical evidence and science. This includes children with Autism, young people with Multiple Sclerosis, the elderly with Parkinson’s and Alzheimer's, and many women who suffer from autoimmune disorders. “Our mission is also to educate doctors on the most precise testing and the most successful treatments for these medical conditions at no cost,” explains Marina. “Our medical advisor, Dr. Andrew Campbell, educates doctors and patients in many countries, all for free, and provides webinars on MyMycoLab’s YouTube channel for all who want to learn and know more. We have also helped those who are sick and unable to work by providing free testing to help them get their life back.”
MyMycoLab’s future is to expand to other areas with their testing. MyMycoLab already has a laboratory in Florida and Mexico, and the company is venturing into Europe by opening a lab in Berlin. “Many doctors in Australia have contacted us and have grown with us and we would like to open a laboratory there as well,” elucidates Marina. “We are involved in a number of studies with major university medical centers in the U.S. and in Europe on studies on Autism, Alzheimer's, Mast Cell Activation Syndrome, and Autoimmunity.”
