Empowering others and embracing bold approaches are key to my journey and CPT's success in class action administration.

CPT Group, Inc. ("CPT"), established in 1984, is one of the premier providers of class action administration services in the United States. With a proven track record managing over 7,000 cases, serving more than 250 million class members, and distributing billions of dollars in settlement funds, CPT has solidified its position as a leader in the field. Dominique Fite – a proud mother and a talented attorney – serves as the VP of Business Development at CPT and has been a recognized leader in the industry for more than a decade.

Dominique’s journey is driven by a powerful combination of resilience, self-reflection, and collaboration. No handouts. No excuses. Plenty of obstacles. As a mixed-race woman thriving in a predominantly male industry, her approach is universal. “Perseverance and adaptability have been essential for me,” she states. “I encourage everyone to embrace what makes them unique and confidently leverage their strengths to succeed.”

Born in San Diego, California, Dominique was raised by her father, stepmother, and grandmother while her mother struggled with substance abuse and legal challenges. Despite these hardships, she navigated and overcame both societal and personal boundaries. "My will, curiosity and willingness to think outside the box saved me," she explains when asked about her success. "I don't have any secrets. I encourage everyone to unlock their full potential and dive headfirst into leadership roles, paving the way for those following in our footsteps."

Dominique began her academic journey at Spelman College, graduated from New York University, and earned her J.D. from American University in Washington D.C. “I learned to embrace the struggle,” she says while driving her 7-year-old son to Little League practice, where she also serves as the team’s manager. “I actively seek out new challenges, both personally and professionally.” In addition to her role at CPT, Dominique has been deeply involved in her son’s school as the Vice President of Fundraising for the PTA for the past two years, balancing her passion for leadership and community engagement.

CPT, formerly recognized primarily as a leader in wage-and-hour settlement administration, has successfully expanded into the consumer class action and data breach sectors, with Dominique playing a pivotal role in driving this growth. “I would never claim to be the creative force behind CPT’s culture — that’s a legacy of the company and its exceptional leadership,” Dominique asserts. “My biggest contribution is to empower my teammates to take ownership of their work and step into leadership roles. And they know I’m always willing to lend support wherever needed, even beyond my traditional job responsibilities.”

Dominique is passionate about creating opportunities for others to thrive, especially women. She is committed to setting a standard that challenges competitors and promotes inclusive success across the field. “Instead of seeing women at other settlement administration companies as competitors, I choose to embrace them as collaborators and allies,” explains Dominique, who recently formed the “Legal Aces” tennis group to foster relationships and collaborations with colleagues and clients. “I’m dedicated to empowering women, sharing successes, and building a network where we lift each other up.”

For Dominique and CPT, success is a journey. Just as CPT has embraced the challenge of expanding into new practice areas, she continuously reflects on her skills to enhance her effectiveness in all aspects of her life. “Right now, I’m working to improve my public speaking skills,” she shares. “Embracing these challenges helps me push boundaries, both for myself and the company.”

Although Dominique prefers to see herself as a teammate rather than a leader, she understands the value of having senior people – especially successful women – mentor those still evolving into their future leadership roles. At CPT, she actively collaborates with colleagues, particularly with Julie Green, the SVP of Operations, and Randi Martz, the Director of Marketing and Business Development. Dominique values every opportunity to learn from and work alongside these accomplished women, fostering strategic ideas to position CPT as an industry leader while promoting a culture of collaboration and shared success.

Dominique’s first and most impactful mentor was her grandmother, Vicki. “My grandmother was my hero,” Dominique recalls with a smile. “She was a trailblazer in the medical transcription field working 20-hour days while still having seemingly unlimited energy for me.” Her grandmother's legacy instilled in Dominique valuable lessons about resilience, kindness, and dedication. “Now I see her compassion and selflessness in my 7-year-old son, Hunter, and it inspires me all over again.”

The future is bright for Dominique and CPT. As she continues to push the boundaries of her industry and challenge the status quo, Dominique firmly believes that CPT is emerging as a leader in new practice areas and innovative technologies, shaping the future of legal class action administration solutions where service and relationships reign supreme. Together, she and CPT embody her life-long motto: "Be bold in your style, and unique in your approach!"
